The Security unit of the polytechnic is an arm of the Rectory headed by the Chief Security Officer.
The security unit is charged with the responsibilities of protection of life and properties as its basic objectives. It watches over the staff, students and the institution’s property to maintain surveillance in order to forestall breaches.
The unit has three division, each headed by a guard commander and an investigation Sub-unit headed by the chief investigator who is directly answerable to the chief security.
The securities operate on three shifts i.e. Morning, Afternoon and Night.
To ensure professionalism and competencies, series of National and International training and workshops on security and work-related issues are organized on timely basis to keep the personnel acquainted with global best practice.
There is also a standing committee on security headed by the Deputy Rector Administration.
